Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup milk (warm)
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • 1/4 cup butter (melted)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • For the Cream Cheese Glaze: 8 oz cream cheese (softened), 2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. 1. Prepare the dough: In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let sit for 5 minutes. Add melted butter, sugars, pumpkin puree, eggs, and salt. Gradually mix in flour until a soft dough forms.
  2. 2. Knead the dough: On a floured surface, knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled (about 1 hour).
  3. 3. Make the filling: Mix brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a separate bowl. Roll out risen dough into a rectangle; spread softened butter and sprinkle with sugar mixture.
  4. 4. Roll and cut: Roll tightly into a log from one long side; slice into rolls about 2 inches thick.
  5. 5. Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Place rolls in a greased baking dish; cover and let rise for another 30 minutes. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
  6. 6. Prepare the glaze: Beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth; drizzle over warm rolls.
